How to (re)enable Hibernation in Vista

If you run a disk cleanup, hibernation mode will be disabled in Vista due to a bug.

To (re)enable it follow the next steps :

  • Start->Run->"cmd" to open the command prompt
  • Write in it : 
    powercfg /hibernate on
  • Press Enter to execute the command
  • Restart your system for the changes to take effect fully
